In memoriam Roger Walden for Jo Savory
Programme Note
Veni Creator Spiritus was written for the funeral of my cousin Roger Howard Walden in Rochester Cathedral in February 2002, and is dedicated to our mutual friend Jo Savory. It is based on the well-known plainsong, taking its inspiration from the Mulliner Book, a sixteenth century anthology of English organ music.
