Reviews

"…indeed an ingenious pastiche which provided a most entertaining evening."
Frank Granville Barker, The Stage

""...adding strident spice to a new imbroglio. (...) So generaly concise and assured is the unfolding of the opera taht, at the end, one can only admire the extraordinary brilliance of the venture. "
Felix Aprahamian, Sunday Times
27th January 1985
"Reading the impossibly involved outline of the plot beforehand, I was hardly prepared for the way that the storyline worked just as in genuine Mozart - Da Ponte…his use of an Italian text provides an extra layer of parody and skilfully frames the absurdities."
Edward Greenfield, The Guardian
