Arnold’s Three Musketeers – tour extended

Arnold’s Three Musketeers – tour extended
Northern Ballet Theatre has announced five further venues in its UK tour of the Three Musketeers; a new, full length ballet featuring the music of Malcolm Arnold.

After its world premiere in Bradford and performances in Woking, Nottingham and Milton Keynes in the weeks that follow, the tour will continue to Edinburgh, Sheffield, Norwich, Manchester and Belfast in the New Year.

The ballet has been choreographed by David Nixon to a scenario by David Drew based on Dumas’ novel. Arnold contemplated a ballet on the theme thirty years ago, but only now is it set to become a reality with music from many of his most famous scores re-telling the story of Athos, Porthos, Aramis and D’Artagnan as they do battle against the forces of the evil Cardinal Richelieu.

23 - 30 September 2006 Alhambra Theatre, Bradford

4 - 7 October 2006 New Victoria Theatre, Woking

18 - 21 October 2006 Theatre Royal, Nottingham

24 - 28 October 2006 Milton Keynes Theatre
