NMC recordings have announced a major reissue series of twentieth-century recordings. The series called Ancora, will comprise some twenty titles. In February 2003 Hugh Wood’s Violin and Cello Concertos will be released. Thea Musgrave’s Helios, Night Music, The Seasons and a brand new recording of Memento Vitae will be released on the Ancora+ strand, which includes additional works recorded especially for the series by NMC. Released over a period of two years other plans include a release of a double CD of the music of Robert Saxton in the summer of 2004.
