Chief amongst them is a tour of his latest orchestral work Sebastian im Traum by the Concertgebouw Orchestra with Mariss Jansons conducting. The tour will commence in Amsterdam, via Salzburg Festival (August 30), Budapest (September 8), Cologne (September 10) and Berlin where is will conclude at the musikfest berlin on September 11. Earlier this year the Concertgebouw released the premiere recording of Sebastian im Traum combined with Mahler's Symphony No 6 (pictured).
Just after the tour of the Concertgebouw Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic Orchestra, one of the co-commissioners, will present the American Premiere on September 14-16 and 19 at Carnegie Hall in New York under the direction of Lorin Maazel.
