A stack of new CDs from the recording label Dacapo make it possible to hear or re-hear a number of works published by Wilhelm Hansen which have not been available on CD before. The CD Kafka’s Trial features a complete recording of Poul Ruders’ opera Proces Kafka, which the Royal Danish Theatre commissioned for its opening season in the new Opera House in 2005 (8.226042-43). Bent Lorentzen: Concertos features Bent Lorentzen’s Concerto for piano and sinfonietta and Hunting Concerto, which Erik Kaltoft, Niels-Ole Bo Johansen, Klaus Gottlieb, Henrik Husum and the Aarhus Sinfonietta have recorded for Dacapo (8.226516). Niels Marthinsen’s orchestral ‘trailer’ for the opera The Confessional, which is to be premiered by the Danish National Opera this year, has been recorded by the Aarhus Symphony Orchestra on the CD Monster Symphony (8.226510). Tine Rehling and Esbjerg Ensemble have recorded Per Nørgård’s harp concerto “...through thorns...”, written for Tine Rehling and premiered in 2004. On the CD Tine Rehling also plays a number of solo works for harp composed by Per Nørgård and, with the Esbjerg Ensemble, also the concertino King, Queen and Ace (8.226039).
