New Abrahamsen work for Recherche

The Wittener Tage is organized every year by WDR Cologne, and is considered one of the most important festivals of contemporary musical life – a three-day treat for connoisseurs with the focus on premieres and genre-transcending performances. For some years Ensemble Recherche has functioned as the festival’s resident orchestra, and this year one of the festival’s main items is the first performance of Hans Abrahamsen’s new work for the ensemble. After the concert in Witten, Recherche goes on tour, and will be performing Abrahamsen’s new work at concerts in Freiburg, Basel and Rostock.
