Rolf Wallin has been commissioned by the Cleveland Orchestra to write an orchestral work to open the 2003/2004 season. It will be premiered on 20 September 2003 conducted by Franz Welser-Möst. In addition to that his Clarinet Concerto will receive its US premiere on 29th May 2003 with Franklin Cohen, the principal clarinettist of the orchestra.
