Steven Mead (pictured) will be the soloist for the Euphonium Concerto by Joseph Horovitz in three concerts of British music, entitled ‘Homage to Great Britain’.
The concerts will be held in Luxembourg to mark the UK Presidency of the European Union. Mead is joined on November 24, 25 and 26 by the Harmonie Municipale of Esch-sur-Alzette, conducted by Georges Wagner
Mead has also just completed a new recording of the concerto with the Buizingen Brass Band from Belgium, due for release on the Bocchino Music label in early 2006.
