Louis Lortie, one of Canada’s most highly acclaimed pianists, will perform Elliott Carter’sNight Fantasies (published by our sister company Associated Music Publishers) at the South Bank Centre, London on 20 October as part of the prestigious International Piano Series. The recital is themed around music of twilight. There will also be a pre-concert talk ‘Sunset and evening star’ given by Malcolm Miller, who explores composers’ responses to the theme of ‘Twilight’, with a focus on the Carter work.
