Last weekend saw the premiere in Naples of a collaboration between conductor Gustavo Dudamel and director, the acclaimed performance artist, Marina Abramović. The co-production between Teatro de San Carlo and New York Philharmonic brought Abromović's directorial vision and artistic concept to Igor Stravinsky's The Soldier's Tale and Manuel de Falla's El Amor brujo whilst Dudamel led the Orchestra of Teatro de San Carlo with mezzo soloist Pasión Vega. The production also features video courtesy of Nabil Elderkin and performers Valentino Mannias (Soldier's Tale) and Sara Maurizi (El Amor brujo).

The production will visit New York as part of their 2026/27 season, with performances on March 10, 11, 12 & 14, 2027. Tickets are available through the NY Philharmonic's website here
