Henrik Hellestenius and Eivind Buene have been honoured at the Norwegian Music Publishers’ Association Prize 2026 in Oslo.
Henrik Hellstenius received the award for Piece of the Year - Large Ensemble for And Fear of Loss Will Not Oppress Your Heart, a concerto for piano, percussion, voice, and orchestra that explores the tension between the individual and the collective through shifting timbral and rhythmic interactions.
The prize for Piece of the Year - Small Ensemble went to Eivind Buene for Untitled (Horizons), a work reflecting Buene’s ongoing exploration of musical form, historical dialogue and the relationship between composed and improvised expression.
The annual award, presented by the Norwegian Music Publishers’ Association, recognises outstanding works by composers and songwriters and celebrates the breadth of Norwegian music today.
