Congratulations to Simon Holt, who received the Royal Philharmonic Society Music Award for Chamber-scale Composition for his highly acclaimed Two movements for string quartet. The work premiered at last year’s Cheltenham Music Festival by the Belcea Quartet. The work was a co-commission from the BBC New Generation Artists scheme and the Royal Philharmonic Society.
