Rachel Portman receives Lifetime Achievement Award at Soundtrack Cologne Festival

British composer Rachel Portman will be the first female composer to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 18th Soundtrack Cologne Festival. The award ceremony will take place on November 20 at the IHK Cologne. On the same day Portman will also speak at a panel about her work.

Rachel Portman has written the music for more than 100 films, television productions and plays and was honoured with the Academy Award for Best Film Score for Jane Austen's movie Emma in 1997.
