Lera Auerbach is New Orleans artist in residence

From February 5 to April 11 2019, Lera Auerbach is an artist in residence in the city of New Orleans. To make this possible, five cultural institutions of the Metropolis on the Mississippi joined forces: the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, the New Orleans Opera, the New Orleans Friends of Music, the Musical Arts Society of New Orleans, and Loyola University New Orleans. In the foreground are musical events such as the US premiere of her third symphony, The Infant Minstrel and His Peculiar Menagerie, the re-staging of her choral opera The Blind, piano recitals, and master classes. In addition, Auerbach also develops a large-scale New Orleans-related installation, which will be exhibited there in the future. Here are the events in detail:
