Tan Dun in Germany

Tan Dun will be present during the five-day festival and will conduct the country premieres of Passacaglia: Secret of Wind and Birds and Farewell My Concubine performed by the Deutsche Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz. Following these concerts, four new pieces, based on Martial Arts Trilogy, the music of the Oscar-awarded film Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, will receive their world premiere with the China Trio and the video artist Yichuan Li.
