It was commissioned by the Liverpool Philharmonic for their 175th Anniversary. The first performance will take place on December 18 given by the Liverpool Philharmonic Youth Choir and conducted by Simon Emery. It will have subsequent performances on December 19, 20, 21 and 22 as part of The Spirit of Christmas held at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall presented by John Suchet.
