The choreography was given its world premiere earlier in 2013 at Theater Heidelberg and received a standing ovation. It is the first work for Linning’s newly formed Dance Company Nanine Linning/Theater Heidelberg. Zero depicts Nanine Linning’s own imagination of apocalypse. Regarding every ending as a new starting point she investigates the transformation of life. The play with gravity and weightlessness is significant in the creative process of the piece.
Zero is a multimedia production of deeply intense tableaux vivants, music of driving relentlessness, futuristic costumes, a sensitive lighting design, film and stage technique.
Nanine Linning is known for her very modern and interdisciplinary approach to choreography.
Zero was nominated in the choreography category for the prize Deutscher Theaterpreis DER FAUST 2013.
