Each year the Foundation for Iberian Music commissions a work from a prominent composer committed to the artistic exchange between the Americas and Europe. This year UME composer Benet Casablancas has been awarded the Composer’s Commission which will celebrate the Centennial of Montsalvatge, one of the most prominent figures of twentieth-century Catalan music.
