Rolf Wallin's Manyworlds

Rolf Wallin's Manyworlds

Rolf Wallin’s Manyworlds After the great success of the premieres of Rolf Wallin’s orchestral work Manyworlds with the Bergen Philharmonic, NDR Radiophilharmonie and the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra, the piece will soon receive another three performances. Starting February 24, Andrew Litton will conduct two further performances with the Bergen Philharmonic, followed March 31 with a performance by Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin with conductor Eivind Gullberg Jensen.

The work’s title is inspired by a concept in quantum physics which proposes the existence of an infinite number of parallel universes. The Bergen Philharmonic will record the highly-acclaimed work for release alongside Wallin’s recent Trumpet Concerto. News of this release will follow later in the year.
