Rolf Wallin has won the composer category of the Spellemann Prisen for 2011. Known as the Norwegian ‘Grammy’s’, his recent disc Wire and String with the Bodø Sinfonietta, conductor Christian Eggen, Susanne Lundeng (fiddle) and Siri Torjesen (soprano), is the focus of this award.

'Wire and String' is a musical portrait of Rolf Wallin. The disc presents three works: Imella, the 2009 fiddle concerto written for Lundeng and commissioned by Bodø Sinfonietta; The Age of Wire and String for sinfonietta; and Drei Gedichte von Rainer Maria Rilke for soprano and chamber orchestra.
