Endorphin is not only an endogenous opioid that drives our feelings of excitement, pain and love, but also the title of a new work by Søren-Nils Eichberg. Endorphin is a concerto grosso for solo string quartet and chamber orchestra and was commissioned by Mahler Chamber Orchestra. The work will receive its world premiere on December 15 in Landshut, Germany.
Three days later, on December 18, Frankfurt's prestigious Ensemble Modern will perform the world premiere of In Circles - Sixteen Imaginary Dances for 18 Players, Eichberg’s newest piece for ensemble.
