Whitacre this Winter



The Chelsea Carol is the newest work by Eric Whitacre, composed for, and premiered by, the Choirs of Birmingham-Southern College and their conductor Lester Seigel, to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the College's Service of Lessons and Carols. The work was premiered on December 2 and 4 at 7.30pm on both dates. The Chelsea Carol is for mixed voice chorus set to words by Charles Anthony Silvestri.

In Rome he will lead two concerts by the Coro Città di Roma on December 17 and 18 focusing on his favourite works, including Nox Aurumque, The Seal Lullaby, Her Sacred Spirit Soars, and the new Alleluia.
