This February (1–3), the Royal College of Music in London will host a festival dedicated to the music of Simon Holt . Over the course of the three days there will be a chamber music recital, a composition masterclass and a pre-concert talk. The festival finishes with a concert by the RCM Symphony Orchestra conducted by Diego Masson – a conductor who has a long association with Holt’s music. The varied programme includes the London Premiere of the recent overture St Vitus in the Kettle and also the major BBC Proms commission Troubled Light .
