Carl Rütti: Three Carols

Carl Rütti: Three Carols
Now published by Novello, Three Carols by Carl Rütti will be a welcome addition to the repertoire for choirs seeking new pieces for Christmas concerts and services. The carols – I wonder as I wander, O little town of Bethlehem and My dancing day – can be performed individually or as a set with either organ or brass quintet accompaniment.

Rütti’s music blends the English choral tradition with other genres including jazz and the blues in rich colourful textures, and has been performed all over the world. He has worked with notable choirs including the BBC Symphony Chorus, Norwich Cathedral Choir and Cambridge Voices and, in the USA, the St Louis Chamber Chorus. In 2009 a recording of his Requiem by the Bach Choir conducted by David Hill was released to great acclaim. Rütti lives and works in Switzerland where he teaches piano at the Zürich Conservatoire, giving concerts and recitals as a pianist and organist.
