Complete Keuris
21st September 2010
Even in his lifetime, Dutch composer Tristan Keuris
was of outstanding importance within the 20th century. Most of Keuris’ works are influenced by a mixture of expansive Romantic gestures and Stravinskian aloofness, combined with a musical language consisting of exploded fragmented melodies, dramatic harmonic shifts and tightly-knit chords, all dramatically juxtaposed with moments of stillness or harmonic inertia.
In 1996 at the age of only 50 years Keuris died. Now for the first time his complete works are available on a unique recording project encompassing 11 CDs and 1 DVD.
