Craig Armstrong signs to Chester Music
Craig Armstrong has signed a long term exclusive publishing agreement with Chester Music, who will now focus on the entirety of Armstrong’s work as a major international composer of music for film, for the concert hall and for solo recording projects. Armstrong is best known for his film scores, including Baz Luhrman’s Romeo and Juliet and Moulin Rouge. New projects include the new Robert Redford movie The Clearing and David McKenzie’s Asylum. Armstrong will write a concerto for the violinist Diana Yukawa, for premiere next year. He has also had huge success with his solo albums and through his collaborations with Massive Attack and Evan Dando. Armstrong’s next album, Film Works looks to build on the success of his recent album Piano Works on the Sanctuary label.
