On May 17 the string sextet Concertante premieres Richard Danielpour's new work Kaddish. 
Danielpour comments on the work:
My Kaddish for string sextet was written in June 2009 for Concertante. I wrote it as a much belated memorial for my father who passed on in 1977, when I was 21 years old. Everything I would want to imply in this "secular" Kaddish is in the music.
