Audiences in the Netherlands will have the opportunity to hear Herbert Howells’s 1963 choral masterpiece the Stabat Mater when it is performed by Het Brabants Orkest in a series of concerts in March. The fifty-minute piece, which was originally composed for the Bach Choir, will be conducted by David Atherton with tenor Joshua Ellicott and the Brabant Choir. Performances take place at St Peter’s Church, Oirschot, on March 19, 20 and 21.
