At this year’s City of London Festival, which runs from June 21 to July 13, John Tavener'sUltimos Ritos receives its first UK performance in ten years at St Paul’s Cathedral, June 23. Richard Hickox conducts the City of London Sinfonia with the BBC Singers and soprano Patricia Rozario. Then at the Temple Church on July 7, trumpeter Deborah Calland and organist William Whitehead give the world premiere of Hugh Wood’sCantilena and Fugue.
