Rising violin star, Sayaka Shoji has commissioned a second Sonata for Violin and Piano from composer Avner Dorman. Ms. Shoji and pianist Itamar Golan will present the world premiere in Toyko’s venerable Suntory Hall on a recital program on January 14, 2009. Ms. Shoji and Mr. Golan will then tour with the sonata including more stops in Japan, Italy and the US. New York audiences can hear the US premiere at Carnegie Hall on April 6, 2009.
