Sanctum est verum lumen
Music by Bo Holten and Tarik O’Regan is featured on Sanctum est verum lumen, a new recording from the National Youth Choir of Great Britain conducted by Mike Brewer, alongside works by Ockeghem, Josquin des Prez, Tallis, Victoria and Gabriel Jackson.

Holten’s In Nomine was written for the 75th anniversary of the BBC Singers in 1999 and betrays the composer’s love of early English music, drawing its inspiration from John Taverner.

O’Regan’s I sleep by my heart waketh was composed for the National Youth Choir in 2006 and is a setting of lines from the Song of Songs that focuses on the text’s repetitive, ‘dream-like’ qualities.

'Sanctum est verum lumen' is released on Delphian Records.
