Dorman: Jerusalem in Chicago

On 26 & 27 October, the Chicago Chamber Musicians will present a concert featuring the US premiere of Avner Dorman's Jerusalem Mix as well his Sonata for Violin and Piano.

Jerusalem Mix received its world premiere last summer as part of the Jerusalem Chamber Music Festival. In the composer's words, "Jerusalem Mix takes its title from a popular Israeli dish made of an eclectic assortment of fried meats. The dish, much like the city of its origin, is a melting pot of flavors and characters — each preserving some of its unique characteristics while contributing to the whole."Chicago Chamber Musicians
