St Magnus Festival
This year’s St Magnus Festival, the Orkney’s annual celebration of the arts, includes some exciting performances of Music Sales works. On June 21, as part of the film festival, Brick Lane, with music by , Jocelyn Pook will be shown at the New Phoenix Cinema in Kirkwall.

The following day, Sea Eagle by the festival’s founder and Orkney’s resident composer, Peter Maxwell Davies, will be performed by Richard Watkins as part of the Nash Ensemble’s concert. On June 23, the Scottish Chamber Orchestra perform Winter Song by Judith Weir and the choir, Tenebrae perform the ground-breaking choral work inspired by the great medieval pilgrimage route to Santiago di Compostella Path of Miracles by Joby Talbot. On June 25, the final day of the festival, Peter Maxwell Davies will be involved in the discussion forum entitled “The Composer Today: An Insight into the composer’s life in the 21st century”.
