Tarik O’Regan: new music for upper voices
A Light Exists in Spring, a new work for upper voices and piano by Tarik O’Regan receives its world premiere on March 12 at the Waterfront Hall, Belfast (pictured). The piece, a five minute setting of eponymous poem by Emily Dickinson, has been commissioned by Methodist College Belfast for its Junior Choir.

Other upper voice works by O'Regan include Alleluia, laus et gloria, which was commissioned in 2004 for the Pro Musica Girls' Choir of Hungary, winners of the Let the Peoples Sing competition, and Bring rest, sweet dreaming child which, with its harp accompaniment, is an ideal partner to Britten's Ceremony of Carols.
