1938 Was a Very Good Year
On 3 February 2008 the American Modern Ensemble takes a first and second look at the Class of '38 in a pair of concerts. A serendipitous set of great composers whose birth certificates share the year 1938 will join the AME to speak about their works.

John Corigliano (Chiaroscuro) will be at the 2:00 PM matinee and John Harbison (Words from Paterson) will be at the 8:00 PM performance. Joan Tower (In Memory) & Paul Chihara (Elegy) will attend both. The matinee and evening concerts take place at the Tenri Cultural Institute of New York, 43A West 13th Street (between 5th and 6th Avenues) in New York City.
