Thomas: A Triptych's Finale

Augusta Read Thomas and conductor Christoph Eschenbach celebrate after the premiere of Helios Choros III. Eschenbach and the Orchestre de Paris brough the final work of Thomas's 'Helios' triptych to Paris on 12 December.

The work's co-commissioners, the London and Boston Symphonies, will give the next performances. First off will be London in December 2008.

Of the trio's opener, Helios Choros I, the Dallas Morning News wrote that it had "the visceral impact of something created by hand and sung by a live voice" after its Dallas Symphony premiere in May 2007.
