O’Regan CD release
A recording of Fragments from a Gradual Process by Tarik O’Regan is now available on the Signum label. The disc, entitled ‘Fiddlesticks’, features violinist Madeleine Mitchell and Ensemble Bash and is officially launched at the Red Violin Festival in Cardiff on 2 October.

The piece, which was praised by the Times for its “explosive energy and barnstorming gestures”, was commissioned by Ensemble Bash in 2005 and has since been performed around the UK.

This recording is a welcome addition to the rapidly increasing number of O’Regan’s works already available on disc – two further releases (both on Harmona Mundi) are due in 2008.
