Avner Dorman and Esa-Pekka Salonen are featured composers at this year's Verbier Festival. Situated in the breathtaking Alpine setting of Switzerland, the Verbier Festival is one of the most prestigious European summer festivals. In its 14th season, the Festival presents 56 concerts over 17 days. On 26 July, Salonen conducts his LA Variations with the UBS Festival Orchestra. On 1 August, Dorman's percussion duo concerto Spices, Perfumes, Toxins! is presented in its European premiere by Zubin Mehta and PercaDu, the ensemble for whom the work was commissioned.
