Situated in the breathtaking Alpine setting of Switzerland, the Verbier Festival has become one of the most prestigious summer festivals in Europe. In its fourteenth season the Festival presents 56 concerts over 17 days featuring artists such as Anne-Sophie Mutter, James Levine, Martha Argerich, Joshua Bell, Thomas Quasthoff and Lang Lang. Contemporary music will be represented by Esa-Pekka Salonenand Avner Dorman. On July 26 Esa-Pekka Salonen will bring his LA Variations to UBS Festival Orchestra. On August 1, Zubin Mehta and Duo PercaDu will give the European premiere of Dorman’s thrilling concerto for percussion duo and orchestra Spices, Perfumes, Toxins!
