On March 20 Hugh Wood’s Piano Concerto will be performed by CBSO and Joanna MacGregor, as part of the ‘Encore!’ scheme, created by the Royal Philharmonic Society and BBC Radio 3. The world premiere of Wood’s Divertimento for String Orchestra will open the 2007 Hampstead and Highgate Festival on May 9.
