Weir at the Barbican

Judith Weir has been announced as the featured composer for the 2008 Composer Weekend at the Barbican. This annual event, featuring the BBC Symphony Orchestra, will include talks, films and foyer events alongside the large scale orchestral concerts. Weir’s catalogue presents a richly varied tapestry of works and the weekend (January 18-20 2008) promises to present her music in a well deserved spotlight.
