Two premieres from John Tavener’s new carol sequence Ex Maria Virgine took place over Christmas in the US. Unto us is born a son was performed at St Thomas New York conducted by John Scott. Remember O thou man commissioned by the Cathedral Choral Society of Washington, DC, premiered under the baton of J. Reilly Lewis.

The Choir of King's College Cambridge are the lead commissioners in this venture, joined by choirs from all over the world. The Choir of King's College Cambridge directed by Stephen Cleobury gave the first performance of another new carol by Tavener, A little child shall lead them , at their Advent Procession Service in December.
