2007 promises to be a hectic year for Rolf Wallin, who celebrates his 50th birthday in September. Wallin himself kicks things off by performing his balloon piece “Scratch” at the Oslo Philharmonic’s New Year concerts, then in January and February there are numerous performances of his most recent works across Germany, Norway, the UK and Sweden. The rest of the year sees a host of performances in diverse locations from Buenos Aires to Singapore, as well as several portrait concerts and festival features in Wallin’s native Norway.
