Biography

Oliver Peter Graber is an internationally renowned composer, concert pianist and author. His concertos (particularly those for piano and orchestra) and full-length ballet compositions have gained popularity and renown. Alongside the 'science of musical composition', he is committed to interdisciplinary research into the relationship between music and humans, particularly the connection between music and the brain, and the impact of music on well-being and health (Arts for Health). Having worked at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna as artistic and scientific coordinator of the Music Effect Research Working Group, and at the Vienna State Opera as chief dramaturg of the Vienna State Ballet, among other roles, he is currently the artistic director of the Research Institute for Music Medicine with a focus on Arts for Health at JAM Music Lab Private University in Vienna. In recent years, he has also invented and developed an AI-based, patent-pending digital composition system for use in intensive care units, combining symphonic, dramaturgical, and electronic-digital concepts for clinical use.
