Kraków Film Music Festival 2025 will celebrate composer Gabriel Yared with an evening dedicated to his film music, including a special appearance by the composer himself at the piano.
The concert will take place on May 29 at the Kraków Philharmonic, and the programme will include Yared’s most important works from films such as The English Patient, Betty Blue, Camille Claudel, City of Angels, The Talented Mr. Ripley and Cold Mountain. The composer himself will grace the evening with a solo piano performance.
Yared is certainly one of the most versatile film composers of our time. It is not difficult to understand why so many creators of ambitious Hollywood productions wanted to work with him. Whether he draws on classical music, jazz or world music, Yared sets an original tone for each track, which is perfectly suited to the film’s story.
