A new Australian Ballet production of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland with score by Joby Talbot and choreography by Christopher Wheeldon will grace Australian stages in Melbourne and Sydney.  Performed multiple times around the world since its premiere in 2011, this hilarious, colourful, yet tender ballet version of the classic children’s book by Lewis Carroll is alive with drama, puppetry and pizzaz!

Talbot conjured up cinematic, fanciful music with themes for each main character in this specially commissioned score. As his first foray into full-length narrative ballet, Alice perfectly displays Talbot’s accessible and danceable music. The quirky nature of the story is perfectly matched by Talbot’s music.

This ballet has everything to entice and delight. The Queen of Hearts as a villain, the ever-smiling Cheshire Cat, the omnipresent White Rabbit, and the heroine of the story Alice.

The Australian Ballet expertly brings this madcap magical musical tale to life. The whole family will be taken into the colourful world of music and dance. Immerse yourself in the wonderful Australian Ballet production.
