A new concerto for electric violin by Nico Muhly promises to get 2008 off to a bright start. The new work, written specifically for young star performer Thomas Gould, forms the centrepiece of the concert “Playing with Sparks”, given by the Aurora Ensemble on January 7 at the Royal Academy of Music in London.
