G. Schirmer/AMP Appoints Kristin Lancino Vice President

Preeminent classical music publisher G. Schirmer/AMP announces the appointment of Kristin Lancino as Vice President. Lancino will be based in Music Sales Corporation/G. Schirmer’s New York City headquarters. Lancino comes to G. Schirmer with a wealth of experience in the classical field. A 15-year veteran of Carnegie Hall, Lancino originally served as the legendary concert venue’s Director of Education and subsequently as Director of Artistic Planning. Upon leaving Carnegie Hall in 2000, she established her own consulting firm which focused on artistic and educational projects for such groups as the 92nd Street Y, the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, the Emerson String Quartet, and Music Accord. "I have long had tremendous regard and enthusiasm for contemporary creative artists, their music and richly diverse projects." Lancino commented. "Whether during my tenure at Carnegie Hall or in my capacity as an Artistic Advisor it was always central to my programming focus. I am thrilled now to turn my attention to it fulltime as Vice President of G. Schirmer." "We are so pleased to welcome Kristin to the Music Sales family," said Barrie Edwards, President of Music Sales Corporation/G. Schirmer. "Her breadth of knowledge, enthusiasm, and high regard within the industry make her especially suited to continuing to guide G. Schirmer along its historic path." The position was previously held by Susan Feder, who, after 20 years at the helm of G. Schirmer, has joined the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation as Program Officer for the Performing Arts, where she will carry on her fine tradition of nurturing the arts.
