Programme Note
I feel extremely honoured to have been asked to write a new piece for this anniversary concert.
The Fanfare aims to capture the celebratory mood of the occasion and also pave the way for Parry’s Blest Pair of Sirens which follows. The combination of three trumpets, three trombones and tuba offers plenty of opportunity for textural variety and dialogue between the contrasting registers.
